Water Damage @ London
A water-damaged device isn’t necessarily beyond repair, it really comes down to luck. If you’re fortunate, even severe liquid damage can still be fixed. In North London, a MacBook Pro 13” M1 2020 suffered serious liquid damage, but it turned out to be one of the lucky ones. Although the repair took a little longer than expected, it was ultimately successfully repaired.

SSD Upgrade @ Reading
A MacBook Pro 2013 that can’t update its operating system isn’t the end of the road, there are possible solutions. If the SSD capacity is too small, it can be upgraded as well. In Reading, we upgraded a MacBook Pro 13” 2013 with a 1TB SSD and updated the OS to macOS Ventura. As a result, most apps are now usable again. Thanks to the owner for the cake 😁

Speakers & Screen Replacement @ Bromley
For MacBook Pro models from 2012 to 2015, speaker distortion after prolonged use is a common issue. The only solution is to replace the speakers. Of course, if it is just speaker distortion, using headphones or external speakers could be a good choice. However, this MacBook Pro 15” 2015 in Bromley also had a damaged screen, leaving no choice but to proceed with the repair. Both the screen and speakers were replaced on-site, resolving both issues in one visit.

Battery Replacement from Stockport
It was supposed to be just a battery issue on this MacBook Pro 13” 2017 turned out to also involve a problem with the logic board. In the end, both a battery replacement and logic board repair were required, solving both issues at once. Many thanks for the owner’s homemade Hong Kong style fried noodles, absolutely delicious 😋.

Screen Replacement @ Sidcup
A cracked screen is always painful, especially when the machine hasn’t been used for very long, and it hurts even more. Near Sidcup, a customer who has supported us all the way from Tung Chung to London came to us for help after accidentally cracking the screen on a MacBook Pro 16” 2021, which only started being used after arriving in the UK. The customer, who has always been very kind, brought many souvenirs this time enough to fill the entire table. Many thanks 😌

Data Recovery in East London
A 15 year old MacBook Pro, from the era when the machines still had a SuperDrive. It is not surprise if one breaks down today and the owner decides not to repair it. This MacBook Pro 13” 2011 from East London was confirmed to have a faulty logic board. The owner decided not to proceed with the repair and only wanted to recover the data. Although the hard drive itself had already started to develop problems, fortunately the data was still successfully retrieved.

Never imagined that there would come a day when SSD prices go up. In East London, the owner took advantage of the still acceptable pricing to upgrade his MacBook Pro 13” 2015 to a 2TB SSD, while also replacing the battery and a pair of blown speakers, completing both the upgrade and repairs in one go.
