If a MacBook shows no response even when it’s plugged in, the lucky cases are usually a dead battery; the unlucky ones are a failed logic board.
In Reading, a MacBook Pro 13” 2017 turned out to be one of the unlucky one. The conclusion is an on-site logic board replacement, with a dust clean up while we were at it.
