A cracked screen is always painful, especially when the machine hasn’t been used for very long, and it hurts even more. Near Sidcup, a customer who has supported us all the way from Tung Chung to London came to us for help after accidentally cracking the screen on a MacBook Pro 16” 2021, which only started being used after arriving in the UK. A 15 year old MacBook Pro, from the era when the machines still had a SuperDrive. It is not surprise if one breaks down today and the owner decides not to repair it. This MacBook Pro 13” 2011 from East London was confirmed to have a faulty logic board. The owner decided not to proceed with the repair and only wanted to recover the data. Although the hard drive itself had already started to develop problems, fortunately the data was still successfully retrieved.
